If you're familiar with Firefox, you probably already know that extensions are small add-ons that add new functionality to Firefox. The Shrinkify extension for Firefox gives you one-click access to shrinkifying the URLs of the pages you visit. In fact, it's so friendly it will automatically copy your shrinkified URL to the clipboard. Best of all, the Shrinkify extension for Firefox is free!

Firefox extension installation instructions.

Installing an extension into Firefox is very simple. We've provided some very detailed instructions below just in case you want a little help in making sure you get it right. The installation process should be the same regardless of your current operating system.

1) Click on the download link above. If Firefox is your current browser, you should see a small yellow warning message at the top of the page similar to the one shown below.

2) Click the "Edit Options" button and you will be presented with a dialog similar to the one shown below.

Click the "Allow" button to allow Firefox to install add-ons from shrinkify.com. Once you've added shrinkify.com to the allowed sites list, you will need to dismiss the dialog and click the download link again.

3) Firefox will now present you with a dialog similar to the one below asking you to confirm the installation of the Shrinkify extension for Firefox. Click the "Install Now" button.

4) The Firefox Add-ons dialog will then appear prompting you to restart Firefox to complete the installation of the Shrinkify extension. Click the "Restart Firefox" button and wait for Firefox to restart.

5) Once Firefox has restarted, you will notice a few new additions to the Firefox interface. Check out the new Shrinkify button on the Navigation Toolbar.

Clicking on this button will shrinkify the URL of the page currently displayed in Firefox and will automatically copy the shrinkified URL to the clipboard. The extension will have added similar commands to Firefox's context menu and tools menu.

If the Shrinkify button does not appear automatically in your Firefox Toolbar after completing the installation, go to "View > Toolbars > Customize..." and add the Shrinkify button to your Toolbar.
